Collection #2, 2024 was my second collection and was completed over the span of a summer season, within the same year it was released. This collection focused on the importance of traditional men’s garment styles in contemporary fashion as well as the importance of functionality in everyday dress.
A KEY COMPONENT TO THE PRODUCTION OF THIS COLLECTION WAS RESEARCH, WHICH NOT ONLY INFORMED THE STYLES DESIGNED, BUT THE TECHNIQUES USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF EACH GARMENT. HISTORICALLY ACCURATE AND QUALITY MATERIALS WERE OF THE HIGHEST IMPORTANCE, WHICH EVEN EXTENDED TO THE MATERIAL of each notion.
I BELIEVED THAT SOURCING ANTIQUE AND VINTAGE MATERIALS WAS THE KEY TO ACCURATELY COMMUNICATING My DESIGN VISION; MANY OF THE PIECES IN THIS COLLECTION WERE PRODUCED FROM SECOND-HAND FABRIC AND FINISHED WITH OLD BAKELITE and corozo BUTTONS AND MERCERIZED GLAZED COTTON THREAD.
